BIO 2600 - General Ecology
Welcome!
This course will seek to develop your understanding of how organisms interact with the environment and how together they form an integrated system. Students will gain valuable exposure in the classroom and laboratory in three units: Life and the Physical Environment, Ecosystem Ecology, and Population and Community Ecology. We will examine a wide variety of topics in these units ranging from microbial metabolism to atmospheric circulation and global climate change. This course meets for 2, 1-hour lectures and 1, 3-hour lab each week (or occasionally 3 lectures per week with no lab).
