Welcome to FOCUS: the hub of teaching and learning at Cedarville University, brought to you by the Center for Teaching and Learning (CTL). This blog is designed to be a resource, your go-to place for teaching and learning strategies, learning management system (LMS) best practices, as well as tips and tricks from the CTL and your fellow faculty members. This blog will foster community and provide a central location to find resources.

What can you expect?

Here, you’ll find teaching best practices backed by research, tips and tricks for using our learning management system, CTL project features, and much more.

You’ll see posts authored by CTL staff, but you’ll also see faculty contributions. FOCUS gives Cedarville a platform to share knowledge and experiences easily across campus, so this space will be shared with faculty voices. Watch for posts from your faculty colleagues sharing their experiences and tips in the upcoming weeks and months!

The CTL is here on campus to serve, and we provide a wide variety of services. If you’re not familiar with the work we do, make sure to check out our project features! In these features, you’ll see the process of working with the CTL and examples of how this collaboration can help your course.
